Frequently asked questions
How do I choose when I get reminded?
In the Profile tab, set the reminder time and when you want to be reminded: on the day, the day before, a week, 15 days or a month ahead. You can also customize reminders per label (Family, Friends…). With Premium, each birthday can have several reminders.
I don't get reminders. What should I do?
Make sure Birthday+ notifications are allowed: on iPhone, Settings › Notifications › Birthday+; on Android, Settings › Apps › Birthday+ › Notifications. Also check that no Focus or Do Not Disturb mode hides them. On Android, exclude Birthday+ from battery saving (battery optimization). After reinstalling, open the app once to turn reminders back on.
How do I add the widget?
On iPhone: long-press the home screen, then Edit › Add Widget, search for Birthday+ and pick a size. On Android: long-press the home screen, then Widgets › Birthday+. The widget shows the next birthday and its countdown.
Why doesn't the contact import find anyone?
Birthday+ only imports the contacts on your phone that have a birthday filled in. If yours don't, add birthdays by hand with the + button: a first name and a date are enough.
What does Premium unlock, and how do I manage it?
Premium unlocks unlimited birthdays (15 on the free version), several reminders per birthday, advanced widgets, exclusive themes, time zones and unlimited import. It comes as a subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. To cancel a subscription: on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.
I already paid but Premium doesn't show up.
Sign in with the account you used for the purchase, then tap “Restore” on the Premium screen. If Premium still doesn't show up, email us with your account's address and we'll link it.
How do I get my birthdays back on a new phone?
Sign in with the same account (Apple, Google or email): your birthdays are backed up online and come back automatically. If you use Birthday+ without an account, create one from the Profile tab before switching phones.
How do I share a gift list?
From a loved one's card or your own wishlist, tap Share: a link goes out by WhatsApp, text or email. It opens in the browser, no app needed.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the Profile tab, open account management and choose deletion. All your data is erased from our servers. You can also email us: the steps are on the account deletion page.
